Vibin’ (Episode Nine)

When I created Konscious Kings, they didn’t think that I was serious.
Said I was a god and they looked at me delirious.
Calm like a Buddhist with a Five Percenter’s dialect.
A mental architect, watch the castles I erect.
Fought against my sin, now I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.
The devil is 0 and 10 against me, he will never win.
Goin’ back in, got my second wind finally.
I stay against the grain, you can call me an anomaly.
The weirdos all acknowledge me, I’m swimming in their pool now.
Fertilized Mindz, homie… Watch the way we rule now.
The Kingdom’s steady growin’ bigger, tell me who’s the fool now.
Welcome to my school now, where we teach reality
and you can have some swag with an Ivy League mentality.
The foolish are eradicated, ignorance is dissipated.
Every mind is stimulated, then is slowly elevated…

Started From The Bottom…

I’ve been a nigger; ignorant and blind in my ways, while shunning all wisdom and knowledge.I’ve been a fool; controlled by my thoughts and passions, thus acting out of impulse and not clear thinking.

I’ve been a heathen; wild and untamed with no direction nor purpose that was conducive to my well-being. I’ve been at the bottom. I’ve slept at the bottom. I’ve ate at the bottom.

But now, I strive for greater things. I strive to be intelligent; capable of understanding the principles of life and comprehending all aspects of it. I strive to be wise; possessing and showing good judgement in all situations and circumstances, good or bad.

I strive to be humble; respectful and reserved, abstaining from all forms of arrogance.

I strive to be conscious; knowing my self fully and completely while inhibiting a deep awareness of that Divine energy that permeates our bodies and Universe.

But most of all, I strive to be a King; one who leads his household, his Queen, and his community; using wisdom, strength and patience. To provide, protect, encourage, guide and cherish all who reside in MY kingdom… I strive to be better tomorrow than I am today…

Differences

Just because we are in the same company, we will never agree on on every philosophy.
Some thoughts are deeper than speech; some we teach, some we will never reach.
Don’t be irritated if sometimes our communing fails, hiding behind loose words or veils.
Displace what we have in shadowy screens; disappearing, moving away – never to be seen.
In columns deserted; unoccupied, left alone. Holding behind your teeth what needs to be known.
Rejection is steadily melting what was learned or taught.
Universally scattered as the stars of thought.
Never be easily deterred or sidestepped when met with clever responses,
negativity or propaganda; don’t fret.
Stand on what you feel what inspiration has fed,
knowing without doubt this direction is what has led
you to speak what you believe; as precious as the earth and the sky.
Backing down because of indifference would make it a lie.
So let it pour forth as drops of rain, to be experienced in joy or pain.
For we only speak deeply to those whom we love. Respect and honor, holding them above
of all the rest, keeping them near. Keeping their thoughts and feelings to us dear.
So when we agree to disagree, who’s right? Who’s wrong? You or me?
Doesn’t matter for we are friends; same coin, different sides… not yes men.
Different strokes for different folks; though we share the same visions, same hopes.
When our approach differs in style and in looks, remember we are writing the same story
on different pages but in the same book…

No More Complaining ~ Part 2

Some say white men taught us this schism to hate one another. I don’t know but lets check history. Before the times of Willie Lynch, we were on the motherland fighting selling our brothers, sisters, mothers, cousins…etc.… into slavery before the white man came. They only took our offer and then conquered our nation. Do we not remember Shaka and the Zulu’s? We destroyed our own people and villages before any white person gave us a hand. Hey, they just finished what we started. Let’s quit blaming the white man, we must do like Michael Jackson said and look at the man in the mirror.
Let’s quit asking for handouts and go get what we want or need. We say we want better education so we need to go get it. We say we want a future for our children, let’s build it. Let us teach our children to be more than athletes, movie stars, and entertainers. Teach them about computers, economics, literature, aerodynamics, and mathematics. Make them technicians, physicians, and dieticians.
Show them how to be architects; builders of buildings as well as builders of their lives. Stop giving them X-boxes, PS4’s and give them books and tools. What are we waiting for? Are you still waiting on your 40 acres and a mule? Really, if you were to get it, what would you do with it? Probably not a damn thing!! Knowing us, we would probably sell most of it back to the same white man we claim to hate and despise. Messing the money off on cars, clothes, and things of no value and importance. Then you will probably be blaming someone for that too. It’s time we stop complaining and start taking action.
