Imperfection Makes Perfect Sense

“A life without perfection makes perfect sense”

I’ve realized that people don’t really want to fix all of their problems. They’d just like to forget about some of them for a couple of hours. We always talk about perfection, but as humans, do we really want to be perfect? I think not because once that perfection has been reached, where will we go then? It’s the act of chasing perfection that keeps us alive, giving us a thrill. The chase makes life interesting; like we’re on a mission. A mission that we really never want to complete.
We hate playing the game, but truthfully, we never want the game to end. This is why when things become too perfect at home, in our relationships or at work, we do something to sabotage that perfection. We start an argument, we cheat on our spouse, or we abruptly quit our job and start over.
In a sense, being perfect is boring. It gives us nothing to look forward to, nothing to chase. It is our imperfections, flaws and shortcomings that allows us to have a sense of purpose. I believe it is in that purpose that we can gain a glimpse of what we are looking for…perfection.

Self-Inflicted

I can’t bear it anymore, I can’t… all the anger; all the crying.
All the despair, the hurt, the love… it all has me feeling like I am dyin’
I will not sit here and wonder if you ever loved me.
What I do know, is what I once felt for you, it was intense and deep.
Slowly I burn with frustration and hurt. Knowing I gave it my all
and it still didn’t work…
I needed, I wanted, I prayed and I hoped.
But you took my breath and inhaled it until it made me choke.
Your betrayal laid so heavily on my heart, tore my chest muscles apart.
So overwhelmed, I wanted to die; the scope too big for my life eye.
Thought we would grow old together, but you just faded me, oh how so clever.
Did I expect too much, not noticing our bond fade away?
Or was I in denial then, as I am today?
Answer me! Your silence pains me to my soul.
You think without you, I won’t be whole.
But I will, the decision has been made. My sun will always shine but will
never move in to your shade.
Since you won’t change for the better of us, leave you now I must.
I know that grin sadly, I must with a heavy heart insist.
We must part ways, we can no longer co-exist.
Please go your way and I will be sure to go mine but before you go, allow me to say this just one more time…
Never truly were you ever a Payne; D-Roc, one day, I hope you live up to the name.
Our accomplishments, dreams, goals; you will never destroy, and you ask why?
Thomas DeMont and DeLaune still adore me; me, myself and I…

Vibin’ (Episode Three)

It’s evident that I’m just trying to stay relevant.

So I’ll just start some controversy just for the hell of it.

Stay in my element. Hood, but I’m elegant.

Penetrate my circle, no; you can say it’s celibate.

The best kept secret, you’ll see in a little bit.

Scandalized my character, but could never belittle it.

Too legit.

Formulate these phases with no ill intent.

Accumulating power, should’ve signed on with 50 cent.

Who is it? Jah, with the soul of a king though.

Will never ever be defeated, even when it seems so.

Ready to come home, tell that chariot to swing low.

They say I need a princess, I already got a Kween though.

Powerful, that is what our chemistry’s defined as.

Ride or die, it’s over stood why I love her fine ass.

Steadily growing stronger, even as the time pass.

Intoxicating love, you could put it in a wine glass…

Differences

Just because we are in the same company, we will never agree on on every philosophy.
Some thoughts are deeper than speech; some we teach, some we will never reach.
Don’t be irritated if sometimes our communing fails, hiding behind loose words or veils.
Displace what we have in shadowy screens; disappearing, moving away – never to be seen.
In columns deserted; unoccupied, left alone. Holding behind your teeth what needs to be known.
Rejection is steadily melting what was learned or taught.
Universally scattered as the stars of thought.
Never be easily deterred or sidestepped when met with clever responses,
negativity or propaganda; don’t fret.
Stand on what you feel what inspiration has fed,
knowing without doubt this direction is what has led
you to speak what you believe; as precious as the earth and the sky.
Backing down because of indifference would make it a lie.
So let it pour forth as drops of rain, to be experienced in joy or pain.
For we only speak deeply to those whom we love. Respect and honor, holding them above
of all the rest, keeping them near. Keeping their thoughts and feelings to us dear.
So when we agree to disagree, who’s right? Who’s wrong? You or me?
Doesn’t matter for we are friends; same coin, different sides… not yes men.
Different strokes for different folks; though we share the same visions, same hopes.
When our approach differs in style and in looks, remember we are writing the same story
on different pages but in the same book…

Rise Of An Empire

Slowly we arose from the gravel and the graves.
With a purpose and a prose, despite our worries and our woes.
We saw a greater destiny through those eyes that never blink.
Shared ourselves with total strangers who eventually became the links.
That would start a chain reaction; many factors being built.
Pressing forward, gaining traction.
With our actions we can tilt
the world back on it’s axis.
We must shine so they can track us.
Light the way like living torches.
Our voices rain from porches.
Pulpits and prisons, just listen to our soul.
Reaching deep off in the darkness
until the masses grab a hold.
No one religion dominates or ever supersedes the others.
Our Kweens are all respected
and the Kings become like brothers.
These walls are built with wisdom,
conscious thoughts create the dome.
The population isn’t perfect,
but this Kingdom is our home…

Eternal Love

Before the lights go dim or cease to be,
I want to die while you love me.
There’s nothing wrong with growing old together
but with old age memories fade.
I want you to remember the vibrant youngster I was,
Not the shade I became, my hair going gray.
I want you to remember the kisses, nibbles;
every moment spent.
In our love making sessions, the perfume of our sex
wafting like a mint.
The peels of laughter and corny jokes we shared.
The whispered pledges between us, to let
one know the other cared.
I want you to remember me for forever and a day.
The good times, bad times, all times
every day in every way.
You asked why would I want to die while
you love me in our middle years.
If you would die before me, the love would never fade away
but I will be dead inside from all my tears…

Family Affair

Problems, situations, and conflicts will always occur.
It is in the resolution of conflicts that make people stand out.
Every problem can and should be calmed
by talking about the understanding one another needs.
Act with compassion, solving differences; this is what
humanity needs to get along.
Let us talk until there are no more words.
We must explain everything until it is understood.
Be honest until nothing is hidden.
Listen until everything can be said, all doubt is ridden.
Question so that we can know why.
Be fair, so that every everyone’s needs are met;
give it a try.
If there is no communication, there will never be that bond.
If there is no bond, how will be able to get along?
No bond, no friendship, no relationship, no peace.
If we have no peace, how will we be able to love?
If we are not able to love, how can there be an us?
We must learn to get along, we must learn to trust.
We must do this for our family.
If there cannot be peace and love, there can be no us…

One Plus One Equals One…

From separate ends of the earth we came carrying
our love, our treasures, our laughter, our hearts.
From different ends of the city we came from various
points where we once stood no near yet far apart.
From opposite ends of the world we came bold and overjoyed.
From distinct ends of life we came finding
magic never experienced.
A young girl and a boy, from conflicting houses.
We came to learn to hold each other tight.
From opposite ends of a kiss we came to
stare beneath the stars at night.
From different ends of a heart we smile,
two lives blended together as one.
From separate ends of the universe
we came to shine bright as the sun.
Now that our two opposite heavens have combined,
no more storms, no more traverse skies.
We carry the same love for each other
simply together, simply you and I…

Just My Thoughts (until he comes home)

The Emergence of a Kween
When I first brainstormed the idea of Konscious Kings, my vision was to gather conscious minded men together to start a powerful conscious movement. I also dreamed of this movement being represented and carried by a group of women and young ladies that would be referred to as Konscious Kweens. They would showcase this movement from the woman’s perspective. That dream is now beginning to be manifested. With that being said, allow me to introduce you to the first lady of the Kingdom. A woman who embodies the love and grace of the Essence. A woman who’s story is full of pain and struggle but also of courage and strength. She is my friend, my comforter, my life partner and my wife. I am proud to introduce my Konscious Kween, Isis Rain. May her words and wisdom enlighten, encourage and inspire you.
Peace and Blessings,
Jah Soul

How can I keep my cool with this man that I love so much?
Sitting here looking at him while I am longing to feel his touch.
Not able to feel him but I am staring into his eyes.
Kind of like a dream but it’s so real and live.
Keeping my cool…It’s getting harder to control.
Every time I hear his voice, the sound touches my soul.
I hear him when I wake and before I go to sleep.
Whether I am awake or in a dream, my thoughts tell me
he’s the one to keep.
So, until the day I can be on his arm,
I will suppress my fears by knowing he means me no harm.
I will ease my mind as he keeps me whole,
so I can make love to his mind while I feed his soul…

Cater to Her

I’ve heard women talk about having the desire to pursue a man but hesitate because they have a fear of appearing to be “needy” or “thirsty”. I can understand this, but as I continued to think about this subject a little longer, I realized that perhaps women have the right to be a tad bit “needy”.
It’s a fact that in these days and times, most women are emotionally and mentally malnourished. Most times the only thing we men have to offer, besides a hard time is a piece of what we call, lingam. We satisfy women’s physical needs half the time and don’t pay attention to their emotional and mental needs. We fail to feed their mind and soul, and over time, they become severely starved. So, in turn, women become needy and thirsty. It’s not because they are some kind of psycho chick whose only desire is to cling to a man, but because she has not been properly and fully fed.
Women must be completely tended to; mind, body and soul. As Kings, it is our job to not only satisfy their physical needs but to make sure they are satiated mentally and emotionally. Many thirst for wisdom and guidance, and are starving for affection. They need a strong man that will build them up mentally and emotionally. We must become a teacher, caregiver and protector. We must not only provide words of wisdom and substance to sustain and strengthen her, we must also act on what we say.
If our women are needy and thirsty, it is more of a testament of our failure to give them our true love. So, if you find that your Kween is thirsty, perhaps it is time to quench that thirst. If she is needy, fulfill those needs willingly and joyfully. A king should confidently spoon feed his Kween with love, passion and encouragement until she is full. In turn, she will be refreshed, energized and encouraged and will be proud to stand by the side of her King.
