Vibin’ (Episode Nine)

When I created Konscious Kings, they didn’t think that I was serious.
Said I was a god and they looked at me delirious.
Calm like a Buddhist with a Five Percenter’s dialect.
A mental architect, watch the castles I erect.
Fought against my sin, now I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.
The devil is 0 and 10 against me, he will never win.
Goin’ back in, got my second wind finally.
I stay against the grain, you can call me an anomaly.
The weirdos all acknowledge me, I’m swimming in their pool now.
Fertilized Mindz, homie… Watch the way we rule now.
The Kingdom’s steady growin’ bigger, tell me who’s the fool now.
Welcome to my school now, where we teach reality
and you can have some swag with an Ivy League mentality.
The foolish are eradicated, ignorance is dissipated.
Every mind is stimulated, then is slowly elevated…

Camouflaged Chaos

No one really sees the entity that is really me.
Sedating meditation keeps me from exposing my true character.
Using mental make-up to cover up those psychological flaws
that draws all sorts of drama into my karma.
They say that if I stay cool, calm and collected
I won’t be affected by these afflictions and
contradictions that creep into my reality
like a late-night love tryst.
I just want a slice of paradise after I’ve eaten
all of this bullshit that life has piled on my plate.
But they tell me to wait until after I die,
finally going to that big pie in the sky.
So, that means that I have to continuously
control this chaotic conscience that constantly
tries to convince me to chase my carnal desires?
Huh! And they wonder why I stay high, why I’m growing tired…

Poetry In Motion

The universe. Many of us know what the universe is and what it consists of. But, how many of us have ever questioned why we call it the “universe”? The true meaning of the word is so profound that it unveils our true reason for being here and what our purpose is.
First, let’s break down the word universe into simpler terms. Uni, as we all know, refers to one. A uni-cycle has only one wheel. Unique means the only one of it’s kind. Unite means to make or become one. So, the uni in universe is referring to one of something.
The definition of verse is “writing in which words are arranged in a rhythmic pattern”. Verses are groups of lines forming units, which creates a poem. When you ask a person who rap’s to “spit a verse”, you are asking him or her to deliver a couple of lines of lyrical content in a rhythmic pattern. So in essence, our universe is a single line of poetry, or as I like to call it “God’s one poetic expression”.
This, to me, explains why everything in our universe coincides as one very organized body of matter and energy. Just the way that the universe seems to operate in a perfect order is very poetic to me. A poem is usually very organized and written in a particular style. Usually, there are four or five stanzas with four lines or verses in each stanza and each stanza would have it’s own identity. We have billions of stars and planets in our universe, yet we never hear of them colliding into each other. Each one has it’s own space and it’s own identity.
It is believed that our own planet is the only planet in our solar system equipped to sustain an abundance of life. It was created with us in mind. Everything on Earth works in a precise order to allow us, and all other life forms on this planet, to live in harmony with each other. Every life form on this planet knows its purpose, with the exception of mankind.
I truly believe that the Supreme Being created us to experience life in an array of different ways. When we are born, we are like a blank sheet of paper and as we go through life, each experience we encounter adds a line of poetry to that paper. As we age, we continue to write and re-write our poems until the day we die. We are literally poetry in motion. So I ask you to think about this, when it’s all done and you close your eyes while taking your last breath, what will your poem say?

Dissolute Democracy

Bimbos and reality shows, that’s what they fed out.
Killed all morals and principals. Yeah, they bled out.
This nice little Christian girl became a big slut.
Now she’s badly built with a big gut.
Turned into a “cool” dope addict with a billion dollar habit.
A good girl gone bad; so sad, so tragic.
American dreams turned into hellish illusions.
Hating on one another, caught up in conscious confusion.
We bully the weak while manipulating the meek.
Don’t stop to pray all week, then say it’s Heaven we seek.
What was once mortified is now glorified, daily.
Don’t like what I’m saying, get up on Facebook
and verbally slay me.
Look into the mirror and tell Jah what you see.
But you don’t have to lie to me.
Teachers being laid-off while prison systems flourish.
These athletes are paid millions but whom do they educate and nourish?
Politicians beefing harder than gangsta rappers in the booth.
One nation under God. Is that really the truth?
But, I’m sure I won’t be heard, I’m just a pawn in this game.
We complain about pain, but have no one else to blame…

All or Nothing

Jah was challenged by his wife to write about things that go beyond reflections of “self”.  The first subject he was challenged to write about was about “nothing”.  In true Jah fashion, he managed to turn nothing into something…here is Jah Soul’s interpretation of “nothing”

If everything perished would “nothing” exist?

Or, are they two symbiotic entities,

one needing the other for it’s own survival?

If everything always was, when was nothing manifested?

Is it possible that nothing came in to fruition

when we, the observer, perceived it?

Thus, causing it to usurp everything’s place in reality?

Nothing.

The eternal parent of our existence and the space where

ideas and dreams are conceived.

No thing materially, but

every thing potentially.

It is in “nothing” that we can truly discover

everything…
