The Battle Within

What happens when you lock a man in a cage with rage
flowing through his blood stream?
Doves cry, but have you ever heard a thug scream?
Silohuettes of a shadowless soul.
Hearts no longer beat, they’ve become calloused and cold.
Grab a hold of some narcotics and some counterfeit love.
Don’t judge…
Them lonely nights, you don’t know what it does.
But, above all else you try lovin’ yourself.
While nobody gives a damn about you; yelling for help.
Death is no longer an illusion, the intrusion is real.
This pain will soon or later heal.
That’s a delusion you feel, you turn your spirit into steel.
While emotions deflate, God won’t let you through those gates
with all that anger and hate.
So, quickly meditate and find that balance within.
That humble pie gets mixed in with some malice and sin.
But, then again, whats the use of even fighting the abuse?
That is when your grip gets loose and you call it a truce.
Doing everything you can not to hang yourself in a noose…

Konscious Effort

What I learned from self…
1) You can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
2) It’s easier to react than to think.
3) Control your emotions and your attitude or it controls you.
4) It takes years to build trust and only seconds to destroy it.
5) That it has taken me a long time to become the person I want to be.

What I have learned from others…
1) Always leave loved ones with loving words, it may be the last time you see them.
2) That it is not what happens that is important, it’s what you do about it.
3) It is not about what you have in life but who you have in your life that counts.
4) Our circumstances and backgrounds may influence who we are but we are responsible for who we become.

What I have been shown…
1) You can keep going long after you think you can’t.
2) There are people who love you dearly but just don’t know how to show it.
3) That it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
4) No matter how far away I’ve been, the Creator loves me…

Cater to Her

I’ve heard women talk about having the desire to pursue a man but hesitate because they have a fear of appearing to be “needy” or “thirsty”. I can understand this, but as I continued to think about this subject a little longer, I realized that perhaps women have the right to be a tad bit “needy”.
It’s a fact that in these days and times, most women are emotionally and mentally malnourished. Most times the only thing we men have to offer, besides a hard time is a piece of what we call, lingam. We satisfy women’s physical needs half the time and don’t pay attention to their emotional and mental needs. We fail to feed their mind and soul, and over time, they become severely starved. So, in turn, women become needy and thirsty. It’s not because they are some kind of psycho chick whose only desire is to cling to a man, but because she has not been properly and fully fed.
Women must be completely tended to; mind, body and soul. As Kings, it is our job to not only satisfy their physical needs but to make sure they are satiated mentally and emotionally. Many thirst for wisdom and guidance, and are starving for affection. They need a strong man that will build them up mentally and emotionally. We must become a teacher, caregiver and protector. We must not only provide words of wisdom and substance to sustain and strengthen her, we must also act on what we say.
If our women are needy and thirsty, it is more of a testament of our failure to give them our true love. So, if you find that your Kween is thirsty, perhaps it is time to quench that thirst. If she is needy, fulfill those needs willingly and joyfully. A king should confidently spoon feed his Kween with love, passion and encouragement until she is full. In turn, she will be refreshed, energized and encouraged and will be proud to stand by the side of her King.

Real Talk

You would rather dance with the devil than be serenaded by an angel.

I’m still trying to figure out the depth of that concept.

Pain can be pleasure and trash can become treasure but you can’t measure

the greatness of a man by the length of his …………ego.

You seem to be attracted and distracted by sinful sensations and bad boy conversations,

but then you complain about the pain he inflicts on your soul.

Truth be told, I think you’re drawn to the drama like a magnet.

Can’t wait to drag that cat out of the rain so you can put him inside your sunshine.

See, I’ve been on the other side of the fence, so I know that your common sense is

corrupted and polluted when a brother can do it like it never has been done before.

Yeah, our thug luvin’ keeps you ……… runnin’ back for more.

But, once we explore every crevice and curve, then serve you with the main platter

that’ll make your soul shatter, the music ends and the dance is over.

The Devil has done his deed and you’re left with a bleeding heart.

So, be smart, Miss Lady. Don’t drive yourself crazy behind a conniving crook

with a big cock because, although he will knock your socks off,

he will leave your temple desolate and deserted

and you’ll be left to pick up the pieces… and your panties…

Heaven Sent

Do you know what it meant when I said you were heaven sent?

Do you feel like you’re a miracle or something a little more lyrical?

Like a living, breathing love song, singing the sweetest of notes.

Taught me how to love again with every song you wrote.

When I say heaven sent, do you picture your wings?

Because you are an angel with all the joy you bring.

No, when I say heaven sent, I mean you came straight from the essence

because the whole time you’ve been with me

you’ve been nothing short of a blessing…

As the World Turns (Upside Down)

Subliminal mind games being skillfully played on the masses.

Bottles of barbiturates given so the minds are more like molasses.

Billboards and blow-up dolls can be found on every block and a dollop of a sexy trollop

will cause the men to flock.

Laced with lies for so long that it’s what we most expect, while morals and principals

are something we don’t respect.

Promiscuous princesses prancing around in place, waiting patiently for perverted

pedophiles to finally give chase.

Children of color dying for reasons not yet shown, being vilified like men,

although they’re not grown.

Down the rabbit hole I go. I wonder what land I’m in.

Where it’s weird to have a good heart, but cool to live in sin

and gangsta’s are continuously glorified, immortalized and praised.

So I ask the question mama, why isn’t this how I was raised?

If bad boys get all the babes, what’s the point of changing over?

Everyone around me is inebriated, so why do I remain sober?

The battle of Cain and Abel; am I my brothers keeper?

Physically we’re growing stronger, spiritually we’re growing weaker.

This world has become peculiar, a testament of times to come.

I just hope it’s some good ones left when it’s all said and done…

Mistaken Identity

I wonder, who is this creature? I recognize his features,

but I can’t place him, my memories can taste him.

Lapping at his existence, resistant, but I’m still fishing.

What is it I am missing? His eyes seem to despise me.

It might be, that he’s just like me. Nah, highly unlikely.

Cause I can see evil churning, burning, looking for an outlet

but it can’t get out yet.

He’s always watching, scheming, plotting.

Waiting, baiting, what is he debating?

Where did he come from? He doesn’t act dumb.

Very intelligent, but somehow irrelevant.

He doesn’t use common sense as a sense.

He only acts on emotions, a chaotic devotion.

His anger keeps him in danger, an enemy to his own entity.

I’m glad he’s not kin to me.

But as I take a closer look, I’m shook.

This creature is not apart from me,

he’s part of me…
